The company has many years of experience growing bananas in the local area which features a tropical climate and sandy and clay soil. Challenge Laos Banana had no existing irrigation system at the plantation. In order to maximize the potential of the site, it required a solution that could provide irrigation during the dry season and fertilization in the rainy season. Solution We designed, supplied and supervised the installation of a complete PC drip irrigation system at the plantation. The solution included automated controls to minimize manpower and maximize efficiency. Results Since the irrigation solution was installed Laos Banana has achieved record yields of high quality bananas. The company plans to continue to expand the plantation every year or two with us as their irrigation partner.
